Rocking Christmas

Christmas is fast approaching and it has been a busy year at Troutman Originals. 

I only have a few Santas remaining for this Holiday Season.

Featured here is "Rocking Christmas"

A 16" One-of-a-Kind Santa, reminiscent of a Country Christmas, dressed appropriately in a red and white plaid shirt, peppermint candy print vest lined with a green star fabric and green suede trousers. His red hat and black boots are trimmed with white faux fur. While seated on a rocking horse with a crackled finish, he holds a stocking, candy cane, teddy bear, and nutcracker. The base of the rocking horse is decorated with additional toys and greenery.

2015 - A look back!

Yes, I am the first to admit I have once again neglected my blog!!!! I can't believe my last post was in 2013...

Moving forward, I will have regular posts throughout 2016 including pictures of Santas-in-progress, my studio and more - so don't give up on me!!!!

I created a short YouTube video of my 2015 Santas. I hope you enjoy watching it!!!

"Santa's Magical Sleigh"

Just finished and photographed!!

This is my last Santa for 2013. I will be shipping him to his new home next week.

Overall dimensions of the piece are 18" long x 16" high x 8" wide. The Santa is about 14" if he were standing. He is dressed in gold with ivory accents. Some of the special touches are the antique mother of pearl buckle and antique lace on the sleeves of his shirt. The pearl embellished fabric that I used for his vest has been in my stash for some time waiting for the right piece to use it on and at $40 a yard (I only bought 1/2 a yard) I know why!

Shadow Box Santa

I've been wanting to do a Santa that could hang on the wall for some time and really had fun creating this piece for this year!

The outside dimensions of the frame are approximately 18" x 18".

New Wreaths

I have several new wreaths for this year.

Each wreath measures approximately 24″. Santa faces measure approximately 12″ from the top of the hat to the bottom of the beard. Glass eyes and eyelashes add to realism.

Each wreath is a one-of-a-kind and comes with hard plastic storage case and wreath hanger.

Happy Thanksgiving

Once again, I haven't been very good at posting this year!!

I am going to do my best to post new work over the next few days. To start with, here is "Christmas Gifts" that is available at the Mole Hole in Carmel, CA. He stands nearly 35" tall. The tallest standing Santa I have made to date!

Happy New Year

I hope everyone had a wonder Christmas and is looking forward to 2011.

I didn't do very good at posting in December - hopefully I will do better in 2011.
