I have fallen behind on my posts and have resolved to do better in the coming weeks.
I'd like to introduce you to "Abigail". She is a special piece I created for my Mom. Since my Mom enjoys miniatures and Halloween I designed shelves in her skirt to be used for display. Abigail actually existed in my mind for about 2 years and it wasn't until now that had time to tackle creating her. I have to admit I couldn't be more thrilled with how she turned out!!!!
I hope you enjoy seeing some pictures of Abigail.
Abigail stands 30 1/2" tall to the top of her hat. Without her hat she is 25" tall.
Her skirt fabric is a sheer black with spiderwebs accented in glitter.I used a black lining under her skirt. Here you can also see the shelving in her skirt.
I put miniature pumpkins in for the picture.
The embellishment at the neck of her blouse is a piece of antique black beaded embroidery accented with purple rhinestones.
Her spell book is handmade and is secured with a lock and chain.The key can be found hanging from her waist - you can see the key in one of the above pictures.
She also holds a Halloween bucket full of gourds and berries.
She has smokey green glass eyes.
